RCIA and Children's Religious Education 2020-21

1) The Religious Education COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for in-person classes is nearing completion. When it is finished it will be posted on the Faith Formation page of the website and emailed out to families who have registered for religious education.
2) In-person classes begin on Wednesday September 16, 2020. We will be flexible and make adjustments as the circumstances warrant and if conditions and the safety of our parishioners require.
3) The Cathedral is assessing ways to offer a home-based/virtual model of catechesis. We are cognizant that not all families may be ready or able to return to an in-person model, and we wish to offer such support to them as we may and are able.
4) A survey for parents is live on the Cathedral's Faith Formation page. The information the survey seeks to gather will help our DRE know how best to deploy our resources and make adjustments to our Religious Education program. Thank you for participating!
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
If you are interested in becoming Catholic or completing your sacramental initiation, the Cathedral RCIA program will be starting up on Thursday, September 17 at 7:00pm in Hayden Hall. This program runs for roughly nine months, provides instruction on the teachings of the Catholic Church, and prepares participants to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. If you would like more information about the program please contact our Director of Faith Formation, Deacon Stephen Hilgendorf at 651.357.1340 or by email at
